About Us

Mission Statement

We strive to honor God in all we do by helping people live with dignity in their homes.

Accomplishing the Mission
We provide individual attention to clients by helping them with non-medical aspects of day-to-day living. This allows our clients to continue living in their own homes.

We support our clients and their families by providing flexible care based upon their individual needs and requests. We are always accessible and offer services seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

We serve and support our communities as we strive to be the agency of choice for companionship and personal assistance services.

History

Caring Companions was founded in 2002 in San Antonio, Texas. Although the company is not very old, it has made a big impact in the communities that it operates. For example, in just its third full year of operation the San Antonio office was ranked in the top ten of San Antonio’s largest home health agencies (ranked by the San Antonio Business Journal based upon number of patients served in 2005).

More Than A Business
Perhaps the single biggest reason for this success is that Caring Companions was designed from the ground up to be more than just another business. Our president and founder saw the need for top-quality assistance for the elderly in his own family. His maternal grandmother was diagnosed with an aggressive lung cancer and chemotherapy wasn’t working. The founder’s mother and her two sisters dropped everything to care for their mother. The three sisters worked around the clock caring for their mother. There were a lot of great stories, laughter and tears during those final days. In the end, this great lady received outstanding care from her daughters and passed away peacefully in her own home surrounded by family.

Unfortunately, most families do not have three daughters that can drop everything to take care of their mother. Understanding this, our founder decided that providing assistance to the elderly to help them safely live in their own homes with dignity would be more than just a good business.

Future Expansion
Caring Companions continues to operate in San Antonio. In 2004, Caring Companions opened up an office in Dallas, Texas. In 2007, an office was opened up in Kerrville, Texas to serve the Texas Hill Country. Currently Caring Companions is looking to expand in Texas and beyond by strategically opening up company-owned locations and by setting up franchises under the name of ADL Caring Companions. The ADL stands for Activities of Daily Living which is what our caregivers assist our clients with.
